a good deal for you, the community and the environment

The ReStore provides a uniquely positive outcome for everyone who participates:

  • Customers:  Top-quality, brand-name items are available to customers at 50-90% of regular retail prices.

  • Donors:  Instead of paying disposal costs for items, donors can receive potential tax benefits for items that would have otherwise made their way into an area landfill.

  • Habitat for Humanity:  Good quality donated items are used in Manitowoc County build and repair projects, resulting in lower construction costs. Materials sold to the public represent a significant source of income to fund local build projects and continue our mission of helping families in our area.

  • Environment:  The environment is protected by diverting tons of materials from local landfills.

volunteer

The Manitowoc County Habitat for Humanity ReSale Center offers flexible volunteer hours and opportunities. Volunteers join us from all walks of life: retirees, students, churches, businesses and individuals. Thanks to our committed volunteers, the ReSale Center is able to provide affordable home improvement items to local families, while also diverting thousands of pounds of usable materials from local landfills each year.

If you would like to prepare merchandise for sale, organize and tidy the sales area, stock or restock merchandise or assist with ReSale Center customers, please get in touch with us, learn more on our Volunteer Opportunities page or Become a Volunteer.

capital campaign

Manitowoc County Habitat for Humanity Inc. is excited to announce that we have moved forward with plans to create a local ReStore and affiliate office in Manitowoc County. We began the process by opening a ReSale Center in Two Rivers. We now have a building in Manitowoc to house both the ReStore and office area for the affiliate. The Board of Directors and committee members have initiated a $545,000 Capital Campaign that will provide the funding for the new building and bring the affiliate closer to becoming a self-sustaining non-profit organization.

Help us continue our mission of providing housing and home repairs to those community members in need of assistance. Donate today.
